Discovery Path, a leading organization in innovative education, is thrilled to announce its partnership as a member in the project "Mixed Reality for Heritage: Training and Mediation." This collaborative initiative, under the auspices of the CHAIR UNESCO programme and spearheaded by Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Brest in France, aims to preserve and protect cultural heritage through the transformative power of immersive virtual environments, while promoting accessible education for all.

With a shared vision of empowering individuals and societies through knowledge and technology, the project encompasses a range of ambitious objectives. Maria Chatzikonstantinou, managing director of Discovery Path, explains, "Our project seeks to provide access to quality education through distance learning and open data. By leveraging distributed virtual reality (Metaverse) and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), we can overcome travel limitations and ensure equitable access to education and essential skills in each participant's home country."

One of the key focuses of the project is to foster scientific research and innovation by creating intelligent virtual environments that blend mixed reality (virtual reality + augmented reality + tangible elements) with artificial intelligence. This combination offers unprecedented opportunities for engaging and immersive learning experiences.

Bringing together a diverse consortium of 24 partners from 14 countries, the project is an example of global collaboration and commitment to cultural preservation. Participants include universities, research labs, and private entities representing a wide geographical range:

Africa: Senegal, Cameroon, Algeria, Egypt, Madagascar

Americas: Canada, Argentina

Europe: France, Italy, Greece, Romania

Middle East: Lebanon, United Arab Emirates

Oceania: New Zealand
